What is CJC 1295 no DAC?
CJC-1295 with Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) is a synthetic, long-acting analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), engineered to enhance the duration of endogenous growth hormone (GH) stimulation by improving peptide stability and pharmacokinetics. This analog incorporates a tetrasubstituted GHRH(1–29) core linked via lysine to maleimidopropionic acid (MPA), enabling covalent binding to serum albumin, thereby extending its biological half-life substantially compared to native GHRH. In preclinical models, CJC-1295 demonstrated robust pharmacodynamic activity, with daily administration leading to normalization of body weight, length, and lean mass in GHRH-knockout mice. In clinical investigations, subcutaneous administration resulted in sustained, dose-dependent elevations in circulating GH for up to 6 days and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) for 9–11 days, with a compound half-life of approximately 5.8 to 8.1 days.
